A school in Girvan is celebrating this week after achieving top marks in a South Ayrshire Council scheme.
That’s because Sacred Heart Primary in Henrietta Street were given a gold accrediation award for being a Dyslexia Friendly School.
Headteacher Mrs Cara Cooper and all the staff are delighted with the Gold award and say they will continue to maintain the high standard of education they provide for all their pupils.
The gold award comes after three years of hard work by the staff, pupils and parents to embed dyslexia friendlypractices through classes.
Pictured on Thursday 12 December, two days after the school received the top award are some of the pupils from the classes in the school’s new Dyslexia Friendly Library along with parent Mrs Marion McMaster.
