High profile lift for Barrhill business
A BUSINESS-owner from Barrhill has received some social media recognition from a sexy source as the entrepreneur behind Ann Summers endorses her website.
Sarah Redman, 40, who runs Creeside Charcuterie from her kitchen in Barrhill, last week tweeted that she was “thrilled” to have been announced one of three winners of a weekly campaign to boost the profile of women in business.
Ann Summers and Knickerbox chief executive Jacqueline Gold named Sarah’s five-month-old business as one of three weekly winners of her #WOW Twitter campaign – or Women on Wednesday – last week after having set the competition up in June 2011 to celebrate and support female businesswomen in the UK.
The campaign attracts in excess of 200 entries each round but, with only three winners, prospective #WOW successes must impress Jacqueline with their products, brand values, website design and potential to grow.
Creeside Charcuterie was selected alongside Sussex-based gift shop The Cottage and free glossy magazine Fashion London.
Jacqueline said she had been hugely impressed by the business and Sarah’s passion for creating a locally sourced range of products.
“I love to see businesses where the owners take full advantage of the resources available to them and channel their passion in to building something,” she said.
