A village music festival in Kirkmichael has been granted a 1.30am finishing time despite objections being raised by South Ayrshire Council’s licensing board.
The Kirkmichael Village music festival takes place from Friday 13 June to Sunday 15 June with events taking place in the McCosh Hall.
A 1.30am licence was given for the Friday and Saturday nights of the festival despite the licensing board frequently rejecting applications for post midnight finishes.
The hall will have a finishing time of midnight on the Sunday.
A ceilidh and local band will play on the Friday night with an evening concert planned for the Saturday and a ‘Battle of the Band’s competition closing the festival on the Sunday.
Tickets for the village festival, which used to host a famous guitar festival are available on www.kirkmicahel.org.uk
