AYRSHIRE Maternity’s Neonatal Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse has received a very generous donation from a local couple.

Craig Gilmour and Carol-Anne Dunlop from Maybole raised £650 by asking friends and family to donate money after their daughter, Lily, was cared for in the unit. The family asked friends and family members to donate money at Lily’s christening to show their appreciation to the unit.

Caroline Blake, Clinical Midwife Manager for Neonates, commented: “On behalf of the unit, I would like to thank Craig and Carol-Anne for this very kind donation. The money raised will go towards helping the babies we look after who need that bit more special care.”
