This year’s Remembrance Service in Maybole, jointly organised by the Maybole Branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland and Maybole Community Council, will be held in the Town Hall on Sunday November 10 starting at 10am prompt.
After the service, there will be a parade, led by Maybole Pipe Band, to the War Memorial for the traditional two minutes silence and laying of wreaths at 11am. Transport will be available for those unable to take part in the parade.
Afterwards, there will be a march back to the Greenside where the parade will be dismissed. Legion members will also be in attendance at Dunure and Fisherton War Memorial at 1pm and Minishant War Memorial at 1.30pm.
Monday November 11 is Armistice Day and there will be a service at the Greenside at 11am when wreaths will be laid by the RBLS and poppy crosses laid by local organisations and schools.
