MSP welcomes latest drug and alcohol statistics

The latest statistics show 91.5% people with drug and alcohol problems in Scotland start treatment within three weeks - with NHS Ayrshire and Arran in the top three performance areas with 97.2%.

Commenting on the statistics Carrick MSP Adam Ingram said: “These are very encouraging statistics particularly for NHS Ayrshire & Arran having almost reached 100% for treatment of drug and alcohol problems.

“These figures certainly demonstrate Scotland is leading the way in recovery. “The SNP Government is committed to getting people into treatment, which is why there has been record investment.”
