THE CARRICK Gazette is taking social media by storm.

The Carrick Gazette Facebook page did not exist until July 2012, but since only January 1 it has received 39 new likes – making 157 in total.

Similarly, the Carrick Gazette Twitter feed – @CarrGaz – had 114 followers at the time of going to press and had posted more than 650 tweets.

But your local paper is still lagging behind her sister title, the Galloway Gazette, by a significant amount.

The Galloway Gazette has attracted 1343 likes since it joined Facebook less than a year ago, while, on Twitter, it has amassed 319 followers.

So help us catch up to the competition and like or follow us (or both)!
