Renew your personal licence urge South Ayrshire licensing officers

South Ayrshire Council’s Licensing Standards officer has again made a call to personal licence holders to undergo refresher training.

It is policy that personal licence holders need to undertake refresher training five years after being granted a personal licence.

South Ayrshire licensing officer Catrina Andrew expects approximately 600 people will need to undergo refresher training but as of Thursday 24 April the council had received and updated a total of only 53 personal licences.

This is a huge concern and licensing standards officers are currently working to remind all personal licence holders of this essential requirement.

A list of training dates is available locally to assist. A number of personal licence holders have completed the training but have not yet produced the certificate and licence for updating and officers would remind everyone that is essential.
