Tearoom break-in

SWEET-toothed thieves made off with a loot of baked goods in Kirkoswald last week as Peggy’s Tearoom was targeted.

Maybole police officers attended the premises - owned by Troon-based hotel chain Costley & Costley and the adjacent business to the burned-out Souter Johnnie’s Inn - in the early morning of Tuesday October 2 after an overnight break in.

Inspector Wullie Ramsay confirmed: “Entry was forced into the premises and a large quantity of cakes were stolen.”

Police enquiries and ongoing, and anyone with information should contact Maybole Police Office on 01655 884488.
