Man dies in A77 accident

Police Scotland is appealing for information following a fatal road crash on the A77 at Glenapp, South Ayrshire.

Around 10pm on Saturday 4 May 2013, a 40 year old man was driving south on the A77, in a black Mercedes car, towards Cairnryan, between Ballantrae and Cairnryan. It appears the vehicle lost control, left the road and struck several trees, before coming to rest down an embankment.

Emergency Services attended but the 40 year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicle around the time of the crash or prior to it to contact them.
