A BEITH man has been found guilty of stealing a quad bike from a farm at Lendalfoot.
In October, after assistance from members of the public, local Girvan officers arrested a male in relation to the theft from a farm at Lendalfoot and recovered the quad bike. On Monday, Mark Pursley (29) from Beith was found guilty at Ayr Sheriff Court of stealing a quad bike from Wee Carleton Farm, Lendalfoot.
He was also convicted of disqualified driving and driving without insurance. Sentence was deferred until 15 March for social inquiry and background reports.
Inspector Willie Ramsay of Girvan Police expressed his thanks to the public for the assistance and vigilance which assisted in bringing this culprit to justice and urged the public in rural areas to remain vigilant.
