Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Maybole crash

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses and information following a motorcycle crash in Maybole on Sunday 25 October.

Around 1230 hours, a white and red Honda off-road motorcycle was being driven within the area of Glebe Park, Maybole when the vehicle appeared to lose control resulting in the driver, a 32 year-old man colliding with a tree. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow where he remains in a critical condition. An area within Glebe Park was closed for around 4 hours to allow for police enquires.

Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances of the crash and officers from Irvine Road Policing Unit are appealing for anyone who may have observed the motorcycle being driven within the park at the time of the incident to contact them on the non-emergency number, 101.
