South Ayrshire Council has welcomed four new members to the Local Licensing Forum, which represents the views of people concerned with the operation of the alcohol/liquor licensing system in the South Ayrshire area.
The new members are: Brenda Kidd, Peter Mason, Paul Singh and Ronnie McLellan.
The Local Licensing Forum meets four times a year and is made up of representatives from licence holders, health, education or social work, Police Scotland, South Ayrshire Licensing Board, young people and members of the local community.
The role of the Forum is to keep under review the operation of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 in the Forum’s area and the exercise by the Licensing Board of its functions and to give advice and make recommendations to the Board on policy.
The current members are: Rachel Rennie, Chair, Sandra Horne, Vice chair, Licensee, Alexander Bradford, Licensee, Robin Russell, Licensee, Catrina Andrew, Licensing Standards Officer, Elaine Caldow, Public Health Practitioner/Ruth Shepherd, NHS, Michael Ankers, South Ayrshire Access Panel, Sophie Sandor, Young Person’s representative, Maria McGough Young Person’s representative, Alex Kelly, Mary McFadyean, Brenda Kidd, Ronnie McLellan and Peter Mason, persons resident within the area, Paul Singh, Vice chair Ayrshire Minority Ethnic Communities Association (AMECA), Police Scotland.
