New pavilion for school up for vote

A PLANNING application for a new changing pavilion at Carrick Academy will be put forward to South Ayrshire Council this week.

The Regulatory Panel have been recommended to approve plans for the creation of a new sports changing facility between the all-weather sports pitch and rugby pitch. The pavilion will include shower and changing facilities, a disabled toilet, a small kitchen and office accommodation.

The report said: “This proposal is for a new changing pavilion which is associated with the existing recreational facilities and open space in the area.

“It is considered that this will enhance the use of the existing facilities and will not adversely affect the amenity or recreational value of the site. It is recommended that the application is approved subject to conditions.”
