Old Dailly S.W.R.I. met in Dailly Community Centre on Wednesday 15th January. The President Margaret Brown welcomed members and visitors and we got on with the business of the evening.
We discussed the previous months Birthday Celebrations and would like to take this chance to thank everyone involved in making the evening a success and to the Hadyard Community Benefit Fund whose donation of £500 made it possible.
Names were taken for anyone wishing to go on the outing to the Transport Museum and if any member not there on Wednesday would like to go please contact Tricia Watts as soon as possible.
Margaret Brown introduced the speaker for the evening Louise Lynch who had come along to talk about Complementary Health she gave a very interesting talk on all the different treatments that she uses and told us about how she became interested in different forms of complimentary health at the end of the talk she showed us how to use our breathing to de-stress and then we totally relaxed as she talked us through an imaginary walk to get rid of all our troubles.
Anne Dalton gave the vote of thanks then we sat down to a cup of tea. The raffle was drawn and Margaret reminded everyone that next months speaker was Jean Wyllie on Needlework and that the competitions were a Potted Plant and a Small Trifle. Competition winners were Cup cakes 1) Celia Tierney 2) Moira Yuille Valentine Poem 1) Celia Tierney
