Police failing to combat criminal gangs says MSP

A LOCAL MSP has claimed that the police are not doing enough to combat what he describes as a “spate of crime” in the South Carrick area.

Adam Ingram, MSP for the area also says that local police efforts are not being backed up sufficiently by centralised support services because the area is deemed to be too far away for it to be “cost effective”.
