Police files from across Carrick

Overnight on the 6th and 7th October at a farm near Kirkmichael there was an attempted theft of farm machinery.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information is asked to contact the community policing team at Maybole on the non-emergency number 101.

Police are also reminding farmers to have their equipment safely secured and locked away.

A 30 year old male has been reported to the procurator fiscal after an assault in Cairnfield Avenue in Maybole on Wednesday 7th October.

In the early hours of the 8th October between 3am and 6am there was an attempt to force entry at an outbuilding at the Forest Commission near Straiton. Anyone with any information is asked to phone the police at Maybole.

A 35 year old male was reported for driving without a motor vehicle test certificate in Maybole.

A 23 year old man is set to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court after being arrested for an alleged assault in Girvan on the evening of Friday 17th October.

A 45 year old male was reported to the procurator fiscal for alleged possession of a controlled drug in the early hours of Sunday 12th October in Girvan.

A 22 year old male was arrested and reported to the procurator fiscal for being allegedly drunk whilst in charge of a motor vehicle in the early hours of the 12th October in Bridge Street, Girvan.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was vandalised in Gardenrose Path in Maybole on the evening of Saturday 11th. Anyone with information should contact the policing team at Maybile.

Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to the theft of a flat bed which was used to hook onto a car trailer in Maidens on October 9th. Anyone with information should contact the community policing team at Maybole.

A 39 year old male was reported to the procurator fiscal for speeding on the A77 at Bennane Hill on the afternoon of the 7th.
