Quilters donate wall hanging to hospital

The Breast Screening Service at Ayrshire Central Hospital has received a generous donation from Quilters’ Guilds from across Ayrshire and Arran and Dumfries and Galloway.

The group presented a magnificent wall hanging with images of local scenery from across the South West Scotland Breast Screening Service catchment area.

The Breast Screening Service held an afternoon tea to show off the finished quilt to the contributors and to formally say thank you to the ladies of the Quilters’ Guild for their kind donation and hard work.

Dr Elspeth Lindsay, Clinical Director of the South West Scotland Breast Screening Service, commented: “We would like to say a big thank you to all the ladies who contributed to this beautiful quilt.

“The quilt is already on display in the Breast Screening department and being admired by patients and relatives.”
