Girvan has been declared one of the top 50 places where you can pass your driving test.
The figures which were released this week show that 60.1% of people who sit their driving test in the seaside town pass with flying colours.
And the statistics show that those sitting their test in rural areas are twice as likely to pass as those taking the test in busy towns or cities.
Topping the poll was the Argyll resort of Inveraray where 87% of people aged 17-25 passed their test with Brodick on the Isle of Arran coming in second with an 82.3% success rate.
Galloway towns Newton Stewart and Stranraer also fared well in the figures with 67.1% of people sitting in Newton Stewart passing whilst 61.7% of drivers passed in Stranraer.
However, fellow Ayrshire towns didn’t fare as well in the figures with only 50.4% of drivers passing in Irvine in North Ayrshire whilst only 50.3% passed in Ayr.
