Trump Turnberry owner Donald Trump has once again teased that he’s set to launch a bid for the American Presidency.

Speaking as he unveiled the resort’s new $10m clubhouse, Trump said that “He was going to make a lot of people happy” when he makes an announcement on June 16 on whether he’ll run in 2016. The tycoon said that in the event of becoming President he would continue to visit Turnberry.

He also attacked Alex Salmond for his support of windfarms.

“Alex Salmond has done a tremendous disservice to Scotland’s landscape. “He destroyed some of the great beauty of Scotland.”

Trump lost a court battle on Friday against plans to stop turbines near his Aberdeen resort, but said he still has “four-five years worth of appeals.”
