Two stores robbed in Girvan

A man was arrested after two robberies at stores in Girvan on Saturday.

A 34 year-old male was arrested and will appear from custody at Ayr Sheriff Court this week in connection with two alleged robberies in Girvan on the evening of Saturday 16 April 2016.

The incidents took place at Nisa, Dalrymple Street, Girvan and Premier, Glendoune Street, Girvan on Saturday 16th April 2016.

Also this week a 43 year-old male was reported to the procurator fiscal for alleged theft by shoplifting from Asda, Vicarton St, Girvan on 9 April 2016.

A 50 year-old male was reported to the PF for alleged theft by shoplifting from the Co-op, High St, Maybole on 10 April 2016.

A large double glazed window unit at the Davidson Ward, Girvan Community Hospital was smashed on the evening of 10 April 2016.

A 33 year-old male was arrested and will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date in relation to an alleged disorder offence and assaulting a police officer following an incident in Dalrymple St, Girvan on 11 April 2014.
