South Ayrshire Council has reversed its decision not to allow the erection of a 77 metres high wind turbine near Turnberry.
A review group of Councillors has overturned an earlier decision by planning officials preventing the erection of the turbine at Dowhill Farm. That decision cited no fewer that 21 reasons for the rejection of the application including its disbenefit to the local community, its impact on the landscape and its effect on tourism and recreation
However, following an appeal, a Local Review Body of six Councillors, visited the site and overturned all the recommendations of its planning experts.
