A packed audience at the Carrick Centre enjoyed an entertainment extravaganza on Friday November 9 at the Maybole hub’s Scottish Variety Night.

A Fundraising Committee event, the programme featured the Cairn School Choir, Highland Dancers from Aileen Robertson’s Dance School, songs from Jim and Mhairi and a comedy sketch by Jean Dunn with her “straight man” Margaret Hutchison.

Wine and tasty bites were available in the interval and the second half belonged to Linton McMillan with long-time accompanist, accordion maestro Ian Muir, who together kept toes tapping and hands clapping in spite of Linton’s back problem.

A highly successful raffle completed the evening’s pleasure, at least for the many winners!
