Walk of love reaches Carrick

Natalia Spencer, the mother of five-year-old Elizabeth who passed away as a result of a rare illness, will be passing through Carrick, arriving in Ballantrae on Sunday 17 July as part of her “Walk of Love” around the coast of Britain, to raise money in her daughter’s memory.

Natalie (aged 41) from Cheltenham is walking 6,000 miles around the coast in memory of her daughter who passed away at Bristol Children’s Hospital in December last year, to raise money to support the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Bristol Children’s Hospital, and to help other critically ill children.

She arrived in Scotland on June 30 and has been travelling through Dumfries and Galloway.

Natalia, who walks around 20 miles per day, is inviting anyone who would like to walk with her, to join her for part of the journey.

Natalia’s walk has already raised over £47,000. Her target is £100,000. For more information on Natalia’s story go to www.elizabethsfootprint.com.
