ROAD resurfacing work is to take place on the A77 at Stumpy Corner in Girvan this weekend with diversions being put in place on both Saturday 5 and Sunday, October 6.
Both the Shallochpark and Bridgemill roundabouts in Girvan will be closed with diversions between 7am and 7pm on both days.
The northbound diversions will see traffic taking the second exit on the right on the A77 to Coalpots Road, continuing to the junction with the B734 and on to the Bridgemill roundabout and rejoining the A77.
Southbound traffic will go left onto the B734 then right onto Coalpots Road and then onto Shallochpark roundabout.
Russell Rennie of Scotland Transerv said: “These essential repairs will help improve the surface of the A77 and benefit road users for years to come. We will make every effort to minimise disruption during the maintenance operation. Motorists should plan ahead and leave plenty of time for their journeys.”
