Windfarm neighbours to benefit from voucher scheme

Hadyard Hill Community Benefit Fund and Scottish and Southern Electricity are offering a £200 discount voucher to every household in the Hadyard Hill area towards the cost of new electrical appliances.

Households in the Barr, Dailly and Pinwherry/Pinmore community council areas will get £200 towards the cost of new A or A+ rated electrical appliances.

The scheme is designed to encourage the use of more energy efficient appliances so the voucher will only be redeemable against the selected appliances which appear on a product list being sent out to all households.

The fund say it is a terrific opportunity to replace tired old appliances for ones that will cost considerably less to run.

Letters are currently going out to all households in the Barr, Dailly and Pinwherry/Pinmore community council areas giving those details of the items on offer and how Hadyard Hill households can participate in this new opportunity.

The scheme runs until the end of February and will be administered through Catriona Haston, Village Development Worker for the Hadyard Hill Community Benefit Fund.

If you think that your household qualifies for this, and you don’t receive a letter, you can contact her at: Ailsa Horizons, 22 Dalrymple Street, Girvan, KA26 9AE; by phone at 01465 710628 during office hours excluding December 22nd – January 6th or by email at: catriona.hadyardhill@hotmail.co.uk
