YORKHILL Hospital was the chosen charity of May and Hugh Paterson when they sponsored a dinner in the Carrick Centre on Friday October 26.
The first event of its kind to be hosted at the Carrick Centre Cafe, the couple invited 60 of their friends to enjoy a full dinner in aid of the children’s hospital, where a friend’s son is treated for Crone’s disease.
The excellent meal was prepared by Robert Barr, the resident chef, and served by a happy mixture of volunteers and staff, while entertainment was provided by Hugh and Friends’ four soloists.
All the guests were invited to make donations and take part in a raffle with the magnificent total of £1300 being sent to Yorkhill in Cameron Kelly’s name.
“It was a nice gesture for us,” said Mr Paterson. “We were very happy to be making this charitable donation.
“We didn’t know how it might go but it was a really good night and the food was excellent. Everyone had a great night.”
