At the recent 2014/15 examinations of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) a group of nine students who study under Girvan’s Graeme Finnie were successful. Hector Laidlaw gained a distinction in grade one piano, Lewis Wise gained a merit in grade one piano, Aidan Wroe (not in picture above) also gained a merit in grade one piano, Heather Shedden, Lucy Cosslett and Mark MacMillan all gained grade three piano, Catherine Crawford (also not in picture) gained grade five violin, Jack Melville gained grade five piano and Louise Stevenson gained grade five piano.

All are students of Graeme Finnie of Golf Course Road, Girvan, a former student of the Royal College of Music in London, who is also organist and director of music at Galston Parish Church.
