Girvan Youth Trust are making a further appeal to shift their toy raffle tickets ahead of Christmas and they’ve already made a flying start.

Their annual toy raffle has seen over 400 toys distriubuted to local children over recent years with £7,000 being raised for local charities.

Despite only going on sale last Tuesday, tickets are going fast but are still available ahead of the draw which will be made on Friday December 18, with this years star prize set to be an Xbox One games console.

Tickets are available from any member of Girvan Youth Trust and trustees and the Girvan Street Party Committee.

Girvan businesses are also showing their support for the toy raffle and you can get tickets from Margaret’s Fruit and Veg, Carol’s Papershop, Dunlop Newsagents as well as the Girvan Community Centre and the Z1 Youth Bar.

The Youth Trust say that this time of year is all about the children and anyone wishing to donate a new toy for the raffle or help sell tickets should contact the Youth Trust on 01465 714729 or on Facebook.

The Youth Trust are also planning to open a shop in the Chalmers Arcade before Christmas and they will welcome any new toys or ones that are in excellent condition for their shop.
