GIRVAN'S runners were in the medals at the Cumbrae 10-mile Road Race.
Two individual golds plus team silver were won two weeks past Sunday over on the Isle of Cumbrae, at a meeting that incorporated the Ayrshire 10-mile road race championships.
The race, which is run anti clockwise around the island starting and finishing in Millport, saw Kerry-Liam Wilson take race second place with another new personal best - taking eight seconds off his previous figure.
Race winner was last year's Girvan half-marathon winner Davy Simpson who timed in at 52:30. The second place finish was enough to give Kerry-Liam gold medal for the championships. He can now add that medal to the Ayrshire half marathon gold he won in July. The other gold went to Ruth Robertson who secured V35 title after running 86:32 which got her 99th place.
Kerry-Liam along with Angus McTaggart who ran 71:07 (41st), Stephen Flanagan 74:21 (56th) and Jack Maxwell 100th place with 86:32 took the team silver medal for the championships.
