WITH torrential downpours and parts of the route flooded, the Dumbarton 10k road race, Polaroid race series no.3 was the complete opposite of last years baking hot conditions that Kerry and 600 other runners had to deal with lastThursday night.

Kerry taking a top 10 place with his best 10k time so far this season.
Speaking to Kerry after the race he added "I set off at a comfortable pace but was very surprised to go through halfway in 16:24 still sitting in the same group that had set off with myself. It wasnt until 8k that I made a push for it and passed half a dozen guys to run the second half faster that the first half.
Gaining 10th place with 32:41 was excellent considering im not 100% fit yet.
Its good to know that im going in the right direction with my fitness.
With 2 other lads from my club inside the top 10 we also took 1st Team prize.
A good nightall round.
