MAYBOLE braved the elements on Saturday only to see their efforts rewarded with a point after a late Glenafton goal.
The match was one of few to survive the week's wintery weather, and for 'Bole it was their first time back in action since their victory against neighbours Girvan last month.
John McDonald's goal four minutes before half-time looked to have sent Pet
er Leonard's men on their way for the three points.
Martin McCaulay pulled off some fantastic work for his side in the second half as the Glens pushed for the equalising goal.
And just as it looked like 'Bole would see out the remaining minutes, Richie McKillen fired through a ruck of players to equalise for the home side.
The team will need to pick themselves up quickly, as they are on the road again on Saturday for the short, and tricky, trip to Annbank — a side who are desperate to put a run of games together in the league, after cup commitments and various other postponements.
Steph McMillan's side sit in the relegation zone, but they've only played eight league games so far this season.
Their run in this season's Citylink Scottish Junior Cup has certainly taken its toll, but it will be a determined Annbank side that Maybole will face on Saturday.
'Bole will need to be at their best to have any chance of taking the three points from New Pebble Park this weekend.
