Last Sunday in Grangemouth Girvan based runner Kerry-Liam Wilson made his best start to the Scottish Athletics Grand Prix series with a course best time of 32:27.
The 10k distance attracted a very good field for the opening race in the nine race series.
This time got Kerry-Liam 11th place which also gets him ten points. His best before today was five points in an opening race.
Kerry-Liam said: "There was a very tough wind to contend with today but I got myself in a group so we all took a turn but after 7k it was all man for himself as the race pace picked up when we turned to having the wind on our backs.
"I was slightly disheartened as I got passed with less than a kilometre to go but held on for 11th place with a course best by 30 seconds in the event.
"So pleasing in that respect and also took a few scalps so well worth the trip."
Good news was to follow in the race with Girvan junior runner Louise Hill-Stirling taking 2nd female junior with a time of 41:33 - a fantastic effort from Louise in the race.
