Athletic A stay clear at top

Athletic A stay a point clear at the top of the league after a 7-3 win over the Athletic B.

The Victory Bar stayed hot on their heels after a win against the Vic whilst there were wins also for the Hamilton and the Vaults.

Four local players travelled to Kelso in the borders to represent West Ayrshire in the BICC Scotland South Division.

First up was Girvan’s Kerry Thompson playing in the opening match up and getting West Ayrshire off to the perfect start winning 2-1 in the Ladies ‘B’ team.

Maybole’s Jim McEwan and Roy Harris along with Girvan’s Steve Robertson had a long but worthwhile wait to play in the Mens ‘A’ team with all three players securing hard fought victories.

With West Ayrshire winning 24-12 it keeps them clear at the top of the division along with Steve sitting top of the Mens Division averages.
