A Trans-Ayrshire Alp excursion is on the cards for the Ayr Burners this weekend as the group continue their journeys on the the lesser known tracks and trails of the Galloways and surrounding areas.

Starting in Barrhill, the planned route heads for Rowantree Toll by cross-country path, before turning to picturesque Loch Bradan.

A refueling stop in Straiton is scheduled before the homeward leg on the pathways around Kirkmichael and Patna.

Sunday sees a full itinerary starting with a double Balance Bikes gathering in the morning at Belleisle Park in Ayr. Two 45 minute sessions will see the wee ‘Sparks’ enjoying some pre-planned games and activities that will help and encourage confidence on two wheels. Spaces are limited for all Balance Bike activities. To register for the Belleisle morning please visit ayrburners.org.

‘The Burners’ are fast approaching their 1st birthday and to celebrate the group are hosting an afternoons entertainment at the Savoy Park Hotel on Sunday. The itinerary for the day will involve the Burners first AGM, a prize giving, and a buffet.

All members and prospective members are welcome to attend. Full details of all forthcoming events and membership details can be found at ayrburners.org
