The Carrick Gazette wishes our junior sides all the best tomorrow as their new league seasons kick-off.
Girvan and Maybole have enjoyed fine starts to the season as they both qualified for the quarter finals of the Ardagh Glass League Cup on Wednesday night.
The Carrick pair finished first and second in section 3, meaning they edged out Troon. Girvan were rewarded with a home tie against Cumnock next Wednesday whilst Maybole have a very tough tie away to reigning junior cup champions Auchinleck Talbot.
Before that though, both sides kick off their league seasons tomorrow away from home.
Girvan travel into North Ayrshire to take on Dalry and they’ll be hoping to get off to a flying start to enable them to improve on last seasons 7th placed finish in the Ayrshire District League.
Meanwhile, Maybole will be making a trip up the motorway to take on Renfrew FC in the Super League First Division. They’ll be hoping to cement their place in the first division this year having avoided relegation in their first year since promotion from the District League.
Best of luck then to Girvan and Maybole tomorrow and for the rest of the season.
Do Carrick proud.
