It was an emotional day for me at Brunston last week when we had the prize giving as it was also my last day at the club. It has been an honour to be a part of Brunston Golf Club. It was an unexpected and lovely surprise to be presented with a plaque to commemorate my time here. I would like to thank everyone at the club for the support in my time here and I hope that everyone’s hard work pays off and the club continues to go from strength to strength.

It was my second send off as Dad’s Army invited me out for 9 holes to play a final game with them and then celebrated with a giant bowl of chips. It might not have been fancy but it was fun.

The prize giving and buffet was a fantastic afternoon. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and thank you to Dine Restaurant for putting on a fantastic buffet and giving us use of the restaurant.

I will be attending the SGU management development course next week and flying off to Canada early November. I would just like to reiterate my gratitude for the support from everyone at the club both for my time here and for my future life, but especially Ronnie, Allan, Sam and Lynda.
