The Carrick Cycling Club headed to the deep South on Saturday with a visit to Scotlands most Southerly point - The Mull of Galloway.

The outbound journey took the group from Girvan over The Byne, passing through the villages of Knowe and Balminnoch and eventually arriving at the Mull for a well earned half-way pit stop at the fantastic lighthouse cafe. The return leg was taken via Castle Kennedy, New Luce, and Barhill with a good tail breeze helping the lads maintain the brisk pace with over 120 miles clocked up by the end of the day.

Next week it’s a return to the racing for Carrick CC with the Law Wheelers 25 Mile Time Trial at Cambusbarron. The ‘CCC’ will be looking to build on their performances at last weeks Alistair Speed Memorial Time Trial where the club won the team prize with three impressive individual performances from Robb, Skilling, and Armstrong.
