The new darts season got under way last week and the pick of the ties saw an under-strength Athletic A travel to Maybole to play High Society, with the game ending in a thrilling 5 -5 draw.
Boars Head beat the Royal 8-2, with player of the night Fiona Challis getting a 112 checkout. New boys Hamilton beat Kings of Barr 8-2.
Athletic B hosted Harbour Bar and won 9-1 and the Vaults beat the Trout Inn 9-1.
There was a 180 for C Crawford and the highest checkouts were Crawford 93, R Ashworth 111 and Challis 112
Lowest darts – Crawford 18, S Stamper 18, Ashworth 18, E lvy 20, S Wilson 20.
This week’s games threw up another cracker when Athletic A hosted stablemates Athletic B, with the B team winning the match in the singles 6-1, with the overall score 7-3.
Champions Victory Bar got their campaign off to a successful start when they travelled to beat the Royal 8-2.
The vaults and Hamilton Arms won again, beating the Kings of Barr and Trout Inn respectively. High Society got back to winning ways with a 9-1 demolition of Harbour Bar.
