This Saturday is a huge game for Girvan Football Club at home against Irvine Victoria FC.

As can be seen from this Saturday’s fixture list and the current league table there are some important fixtures for Girvan and the teams round about them in the league.

Girvan are currently fourth with 28 points from 14 games and play bottom club Irvine Vics.

League leaders Shettleston, on 34 points from 17 games play second placed Kilsyth on 32 points from 15 games. Third placed Clydebank on 29 points from 17 games play fifth place Irvine Meadow on 28 points from 15 games.

So plenty to play for for all the teams at the top and there could be some big changes after this weekend’s action.

A spokesman for the club said: “We really do need your support to cheer the lads on.

“Tell your family, friends and anyone who might fancy coming to the game, whether its your first time or your a regular we would love to see you at Hamilton Park with a 2pm kick off. Come on the Girvan.“

Last weekend heavy overnight rain along with it being Girvan’s fifth match in a row at home resulted in the pitch being unplayable.

The scheduled league match against Petershill was called off.
