Girvan are determined to finish off a remarkable season by winning the Ayrshire District League.
A 2-0 win over Whitletts on Saturday means promotion is almost a certainty, but the club are focussed on their last three league matches.
They play Muirkirk away this Saturday in a 2pm kick off to keep up their challenge.
League leaders Irvine are currently on 54 points with one game left to play against Craigmark away on Saturday.
Girvan are on 49 points with three games left to play.
Coach Peter Leonard said: “It was a long time coming on Saturday, scoring with only six moniutes to go to seal the win. We dominated play and had about six or seven chances in the second half, but it was great when the goal went in. But we really want to win it, there’s a lot of determination in the side just now.
Girvan took the lead early on through a Darren Mitchell penalty against Whitletts on Saturday.
Although it wasn’t until six minutes to go that David Cunningham scored Girvna’s second of the game, leaving Girvan still undefeated in the league.
