GIRVAN’s match against Annbank was called off by the referee on Saturday just hours before the kick-off because of the weather.
The Seasiders had travelled to Annbank but, by the time they arrived, they were faced with almost blizzard conditions and the referee had no option but to cancel.
Girvan are at home to Ardeer on Saturday at Hamilton Park and will be hoping to play that match, which kicks off at 2pm.
The club were also hoping to wait until the close season to appoint a new manager but with the fixture list being extended because of a long list of postponed matches, they could have a new man in place before the end of the season.
Club chairman Tam McCreadie said: “We did want to wait until the end of the season. However the way things are going, we may appoint someone before the end of the season in order to give them a chance to start building for the new season.”
The club were also hoping to start work on the pitch at Hamilton Park early next month, but, with at least one more home game before the end of the season, that work may be delayed.
Girvan report that they have had more inquiries about the vacant manager’s role at the club.
The Seasiders are keen for as many supporters as possible to turn out and cheer their team on against Ardeer on Saturday.
