Girvan play Blackburn United away in the Scottish Junior Cup third round this Saturday.
Blackburn United compete in the East Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association and have a squad mix of amateur and semi-professional players, many of whom come from the local West Lothian area and some of whom are from the Lanarkshire and Stirlingshire areas.
The side has an SFA qualified management team and a qualified physiotherapist.
Girvan’s match against Maryhill at Hamilton Park was postponed last Saturday after torrential rain on Friday.
All tickets and offers will be valid for the next Home League Match.
Girvan will be disappointed as they were on good form going into the game having won 3-1 in their previous league outing at home in the league against Yoker.
Boss Peter Leonard had a full squad to choose from apart from two injuries. Ryan McCubbin had an eye injury and Tony Murphy was out with an ankle injury. Both could return this week. However new signing Stephen Auld is back in the squad.
Peter said: “We have a strong squad and what is good is that the players know that if they don’t put in a performance the someone else will get the jersey.”
