Girvan Youth Under 13s won 6-2 in another fine display this time against Auchinleck Talbot Under 13s.

The ever improving young Girvan side continued their fine start to their first season against a decent Auchinleck Talbot side.

The home team opened the scoring after 15 minutes following some good play from Greg McCartney, who made a fine run before slotting home from 12 yards.

Number two followed five minutes later after another good passing move from the home side. Girvan’s Jordon Brown played a slide rule pass to Morgan Orr, who in turn set up Callum Skilling to slot the ball under the oncoming Auchinleck keeper.

The visitors upped their game after the early setback which saw them pull a goal back after 30 minutes when their striker headed home from a well delivered corner kick.

Girvan continued to play with confidence, stroking the ball about well which led to them restoring their two goal advantage on the stroke of half time when Morgan Orr lashed the ball home from eight yards.

The home side continued the goal rush in the second half when Sean Millarvie struck early doors to give the youngsters a three goal cushion before Dylan Moore slotted home a Lewis Gibson cross for number five.

Kai Poole rounded off Girvan’s scoring before Talbot pulled a goal back in the dying minutes of the game. The management, coach and boys would like to thank all the sponsors for their new kits.
