Managerless Girvan FC fought back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 against Dalry on Saturday in their re-arranged Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup tie.
The Round One tie had been scheduled for February 8 but Scottish Junior Cup postponements for both sides put the tie back six weeks.
It didn’t look good for Girvan when they conceded two goals in two minutes around the half hour mark but a quick goalback from Darren Mitchell on 33 minutes meant Girvan had momentum before the break.
Ten minutes into the second half Mitchell got his second and drew Girvan level before 15 minutes from time Jordan Ryan put Girvan ahead for the first time in the game.
And Craig Harvey sealed a fantastic comeback for the Seasiders with a goal four minutes from time to ensure a tie away to Muirkirk in Round Two (date to be confirmed).
The teams had cancelled each other in the league with Dalry winning 3-2 in North Ayrshire before Girvan won 2-0 in November at Hamilton Park.
Next up for Girvan is a trip to face Ayrshire District League leaders Ardeer Thistle on Saturday with kick off at 2pm.
