Four Ayrshire golfers experienced the ultimate adrenaline rush when they sky dived from 13,000ft and then played on a nearby championship course after winning a national competition in Today’s Golfer magazine run in partnership with golf clothing brand Galvin Green.

Competition winner Lorna Anderson from Girvan – along with brothers Donald and Jamie and friend Stuart Muir – were kitted out in the latest Galvin Green WINDSTOPPER® jackets to take the tandem sky dive at Sibson airfield near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, where they were filmed experiencing free fall speeds of up to 120 mph.

After they had glided down on a parachute from 5,000ft and settled their heartbeats, the intrepid four-ball put their golfing skills to the test on the championship golf course at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel & Sporting Estate in Melton Mowbray.

“We had a fantastic time and the sky dive was out of this world,” said Lorna. “The Galvin Green WINDSTOPPER® jackets certainly lived up to their name, as did the Ventil8™ shirts we wore playing the lovely Stapleford Park course.”

The competition was based on the latest Galvin Green advertising campaign that shows a skydiver making his descent towards a golf course in the latest clothing.
