Dad’s Army had their stableford competition to open the week on Monday the 25th of August. Tony Flint was this week’s winner with 21 points. Sam Cochrane was second with 19 points.

Wednesday the 27th was a busy day with three competitions. First was the ladies and Dad’s Army playing their final 9 hole tri-am of the year. Marian Whiteford, Jack Bainbridge and Jim Rodger won with a team score of 27.

The second competition of the day was the men’s yellow tee medal, won by Glen Williams with a 62! Kevin McSorley said he was sure his 68 would have won and was amazed he only came in second.

Lastly the men’s white tee medal was won by Ross Murchie with a 74 and Jim Fyfe was second with 78.

Our final gents open of the year was played on Saturday the 30th. First and second place were taken by Brunston members on a very windy day. Scott Kirk was the winner with 36 stableford points and Ronnie Mills second with 35.
