Chris wins Captain’s Prize with King Robert the Bruce round

The Turnberry Golf Club Captain’s Prize played on 7th October was won by Chris Savage (12) 32 Stableford points over the King Robert the Bruce course followed by Jim Byers (6)31 points over the Ailsa course and M.G. Brown (13) 27 points over the Bruce course.

When Dave Rennie signed on for his stint with the Warriors you suspect that one reason the Kiwi coach moved north was the ever-increasing travel demands that the expanded Super Rugby imposed upon all participants. In the Turnberry Saturday medal on 26th August Dominic Booth came in to win with (3)71 played on the Ailsa course followed by Campbell Devlin (6)74 on the Bruce course, S. Allan (5)76 Ailsa Course, J. Byers (6)76, J. Mills (14)76 and Andy Johnstone (4)76 all on the Bruce course. The Girvan Golf Club September medal last Sunday attracted only two entries, no doubt due to the inclement weather, and consequently was not held.
