A full weekend of racing was on the cards for Carrick Cycling Club as six members lined up for two events, both against the clock.
On Saturday the Musselburgh 3 man time trial saw over 40 teams head for the East coast to do battle on a 24 mile course. Carrick CC fielded two team with Mark Skilling, Mick Robb, and Kenny Armstrong showing a strong and fluid riding style which earning them in second place with a time of 55 minutes and 53 seconds.
Carrick’s second team of Brian Yates, David Fulton, and Paul Gibson came home in a solid 16th position with a time of 1 hour and 1 minute.
On Sunday a more local affair beckoned as the Mad March TT saw riders take on a 13 mile course between Irvine, Auchentiber, and Stewarton. Mark Skillings time of 30 minutes and 34 seconds earned him 4th place despite his previous days efforts, with David Griffiths of Pro Vision Racing Team taking the top spot with a time of 28 minutes and 46 seconds.
