Carrick Academy narrowly lost to St Columba’s in the Glasgow South plate final on Saturday.
Carrick were 19-0 down after 25 minutes before scoring a try just before half time to bring the score back to 19-5.
The second half was all Carrick with a further two tries being scored, and with 10 minutes to go Carrick were camped on the St Columba’s line.
They did manage to get the ball over the line on three occasions for the referee to judge it was held up, or he did not see the grounding.
Carrick Academy head of rugby, Gordon Brown, said: “Overall a fantastic match with a big crowd from both schools in attendance. All at Carrick wish St Columba’s well for the rest of the competition.
